Welcome back and as always, thank you so much for stopping by. For the end of summer, I wanted to do this soft sunset eyes makeup tutorial, appropriately as we go into Labor Day Weekend and the sun literally sets on summer. Okay, maybe it’s not literally setting on summer, but it feels that way. The days are getting shorter, and confusing/backwards San Francisco should start to warm up soon.
I jump around through a TON of different palettes in this tutorial. Please don’t be alarmed or overwhelmed! My collection is primarily palettes, with only 2 small z-palettes of single shadows. I just have to be able to swatch shadows before I buy them, so I don’t find myself buying a ton of MUG (though the ones I have are fantastic), and ABH only recently became available in Sephora… So for better or for worse, I have a few palettes that I bought specifically for ONE shadow. Yes, I’m serious. Yes, my bank account hates me. I have to make it right by using them all. Basically in one video. Okay, that’s a lie. I have a lot more palettes than I use in this video.
ANYWAY. My vision for this look was that the top lid would be the setting sun, and the lower lashline would be the gorgeous purpley-blue water over which the sun is setting. I wish I had made the lower lashline a bit stronger to really capture the ethereal purple glow, but otherwise love how this look turned out.
