homemade honey mustard

I have many aversions when it comes to prepared foods, and honey mustard is one of my biggest.  I have yet to find anything that tasted good from the bottle – and isn’t that the whole point of buying something pre-made?  It’s supposed to save you time without sacrificing flavor!  I finally stopped taking my anger out on unsuspecting condiment bottles and made my own honey mustard.  This recipe makes about a cup, and will keep as long as the earliest expiration on one of the base ingredients.  Make sure you write that date on your storage container (I recommend an old mustard bottle that you’ve cleaned and dried) so that you don’t forget.

I like to use this honey mustard as a dip, a salad dressing, and a sandwich spread – it has a really versatile consistency so it works well in pretty much every application.
