True story: I rode horses for 12 years before the impact of my final fall popped out a contact and resulted in a concussion. I got back on (duh) but had to change my exam schedule (my professors were so understanding) and didn’t feel normal for a solid 6 weeks. I jumped a few more times and ultimately found myself afraid of injury instead of excited by the challenge, and eventually stopped riding. While the quest for the Triple Crown isn’t my favorite equestrian event, I can certainly get behind anything that combines crazy hats, fashion, and stunning horses. And let’s not forget the Mint Juleps!
I kept my hat pretty tame so that it didn’t compete with my crazy neon floral print dress… next year, I think I’ll go for a subtle dress and buy myself a wild hat!

I love how this outfit turned out – the pink and orange is really a stellar combo. You make the hat look so chic!
Thanks, Sarah! I’m getting really into florals this spring (as if you didn’t notice). Can’t wait to see what shots you choose!
